What's standing in the way of your success – or should I say WHO's standing in your way? It took my car keys falling down the elevator shaft at work today to finally face my nemesis…ME. Let me just clarify, I'm not clumsy. I wasn't rummaging in my bag, my hands weren't full and no one else was on the elevator. All I can say is “something” made the keys drop from my firm grip and disappear down what seemed like a dark abyss as I gasped – OK screamed in horror! My panic was calmed when maintenance said they'd have someone out to help, but it would take at least 2 hours…UGH.
I called the Hubs fully expecting to hear just how I could let that happen followed by a sigh from the realization he'd be trapped with 4 monsters past dinner. “You probably avoided an accident,” he said. Totally wasn't expecting that, but maybe he was chill cause his fabulous wife already had dinner ready – all he had to do was veggies. ANYWAY since I was stranded at work I headed back to my office to make the most productive use of time…for about 5 minutes. Before I knew it I was sitting with a friend I've been out of touch with for months.
GOD has a way of stopping you dead in your tracks and connecting with what you need WHEN you need it. The people in our lives all serve a purpose. My friend Ana is one of my living ANGELS. She reminded me today of the incredible strength we have as women and mothers. My mother is my first hero, my sister is next to my heart and my friend Ana a mother of 5 is a hero. I marvel at all that she manages to accomplish. She inspires, offers hope but most importantly she provides encouragement. And while she can be demanding what she demands is what we should all want for ourselves – EXCELLENCE. Not perfection because that doesn't exist, but we should all be in the pursuit of excellence. Anything less is an insult to our Creator, “for I know the plans I have for you…” – Jeremiah 29:11
So I'm following my cheerleader's advice I'M GETTING OUT OF MY OWN WAY! I've been planning, strategizing, procrastinating it's all added up to inaction. I can't wait for the perfect moment to get started because that isn't a time or date on any calendar. I know now that I've GOT THIS. I needed to be still to hear, but I got the message loud and clear.
“When the solution is simple GOD is answering.” – Albert Einstein and the other inspiring A.E.
